Kyoto, Japan view map

The weather was cooperative, the rain stopped pouring for a while.
After I took this picture, it resumed pouring again.

Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion Temple) is the informal name of Rokuon-ji (Deer Garden Temple) in Kyoto.
It was originally built in 1397 to serve as a retirement villa for a Generalissimo.

The top two stories of the golden pavilion are covered with pure gold leaf.
The pavilion was burned down by a monk in 1950. The present structure was rebuilt in 1955.

This is exceptionally good. I love your 3D effect by placing something between you and the main subject of the image. It adds depth to an otherwise "flat" perspective...

Really in leaf of gold it is the first impreesiv looking ,but it is so undrestanding I think it is the alone in the world.
This picture is very nice surrounding this building in a green crown with a poor sky but so nice for this shoot.
