Next to the Gateway of India, on the waterfront of south Mumbai, is the Taj Mahal Palace - a famous and prestigious hotel. It has been standing here since 16 December 1903. It is interesting to know that the side facing the harbour is actually its rear. Its front faces the city and has no longer been used as access for decades.
