A Vibrant City

Kwai Chung, Hong Kong view map

A clear sky finally came out after months of foggy days.
I instinctively took my camera and rushed to Cho Yiu Estate in order to take this picture.

The flyover, with endless flow of traffic,
in the foreground is Tsing Kwai Highway that connects Kowloon and West New Territories.
The glittering open area that donimates this picture is Kwai Chung Container Terminal -
one of the largest logistic hubs in Asia.

In the distance, a lot of stunning buildings stand on Hong Kong Island -
the Bank of China Tower (with diagonal lines),
International Finance Centre (the tallest one), and... too many to name.

This really is a beautiful view. It's amazing how something so ordinary and not even very attractive by day can be so transformed at night. v

I also came here.. from Lai King station, walking up hill.. took me time to find the exact spot.. if my memory it's correct, a parting lot of a restaurant. From there, the view it's beautiful... if we walk farther up hill, many, many appartment buildings. I wonder how does it looks from thos appartments at the highest peak of the mountain. I bet it looks like from being in an airplane..

I like your photo, since you got a wider angle and you didn't got overexposure from the lights at the terminal... These lights gave me so much trouble that I had to take the photo away from them.
