The IFC, on the left-hand side, is a prominent landmark on Hong Kong Island. This 415 m tall building is currently Hong Kong's tallest, with 88 storeys.

The Chinese People's Liberation Army Forces Hong Kong Building, on the right-hand side, is a 120 metre, 28 floor building. The building was named the Prince of Wales Building in 1976, and housed the headquarters of the British garrison in Hong Kong until the territory's handover to the People's Republic of China on June 30, 1997.
