The red-knot and grass decorated dragon head, brightly-colourful flags and
burning incense sticks are the traditional things that
the paddlers believe they will bring them good luck and complete safety.
After the game, the champion team’s red knot may be used for auction.
Many merchants are willing to pay more than 10-thousand US dollars to get it.
They believe the winning knot will bring them good luck in the coming years.
