When you think of waterfalls and hiking in Arkansas the name Tim Ernst usually comes to mind first and foremost. Tim has published several books on hiking and waterfall "hunting" in Arkansas; namely Arkansas Waterfalls Guidebook that features over 130 accessible falls throughout the state and all the information you need to find them. At present he is the president of The Ozarks Highland Trail Association. Tim "discovered" Pam's Grotto in 1982 and named it after his future bride, Pam. As he says, "Pam's Grotto is a small area with a big personality." On this cloudy and rainy day I spent several hours there and wanted to stay longer. There is much to see of nature's beauty at this place.
