This gallery shows details of a crucifixion undertaken as part of the San Pedro Cutud Lenten Rites in the Philippines. All participants are volunteers looking for forgiveness for sins and/or good fortune in the future. Real nails are used but the participants suffer no long term damage and remain on the cross typically less than 15 minutes.

Associated with the Lenten Rites is the act of Self Flagellation which can be seen in the Lenten Rites Flagellation gallery.
