Fall is here, while we don't get the same dramatic color change here in California like east coast, I just want to give a try, so head up to my favorite park again.

The Plan was to drive up there and hike in to Cathedral Lake to grab a few sunrise shot then go down the valley to shoot a few Fall Color shots, with all the tall walls around at 8000 to 10000 Feet high getting sunrise shot is not the easiest thing to do, by the time the sun hit us, it's normally pretty high up already and will not get the color I want, so I decided to hike in to a high elevation lakes instead, such as the Cathedral Lakes which is only 3 miles from the road, but to my big surprise when I got up to 7000 Ft there is tons of snow, since they re-opened the Tioga road I wasn't expect this much of snow there, so hiking in the middle of the night with 20 lbs of gear trying to find the none existing trail that is covered with fresh snow in 18 degree cold weather is not what I was there for this morning......

Went down to the valley, and it was nice and warm, 60 degrees with sun, as you can see from the picture, water lever was really really low this time of the year, most if not all those rocks shown on the Merced River are not supposed to be showing during the summer months, and I was actually able to climb down the river bank ad found my way got out to almost the middle of the river to get the angle I want, I waited the whole day but still no interesting clouds there, it actually tuns into kind of gloomy after 3PM, so grabbed a few and took off.
