Yosemite, March 02, 2014

Another one of those sleepless weekend, saw the weather forecast while having dinner and thinking this weekend may be a good chance to catch some color...... turned out to be a good call, took off from on Saturday night 1:00 am and got there by 5:30, it must have rained during the day and got cold after dark so the road was really icy, took me 4 and a half hour to get to the location this time, joined few dozen other photographers there and quickly set it up, went back to car and grab a camp chair and a cup of hot tea, settle down and started the waiting game.... at the beginning it was pretty boring, grey sky, thick clouds.... nothing to shoot, all of a sudden the sky color above Half Dome started to change, it must be a small window near the horizon open up or something and the whole sky turned PINK in like 5 minutes, just in time for the shot, and everyone was jumping up and down with joy and cheering, well, actually busy messing around with all kind of filter and and busy clicking.... this only last for few minutes the most, and it was THE Most Spectacular sunrise color i have ever seen at Tunnel View, you know, i don't go to Yosemite "that often" , it was only my 5th trip this year so far, LOL so i have not seen much, LOL.

Only process one sunrise photo in less than 10 seconds, after 40 hours straight without sleep i can't see the damn thing on my monitor any more, so one file for now and I am going to sleep !!! will upload more in a few days.

By the way, toward the end of the day it started to rain...... everyone ran back to the car and took off like there is tornado about to hit.... and myself a few other idiot refused to go and just stood there and BS about camera gear and enjoying the view in rain and have our camera set up for "sunset" hahaha, yeah, sunset in rain.... now i am not sure if my camera and lenses are still working, I can't even remember how many time I changed lens in rain there, on my AIS 50 F1.2 now I found water in there at the rear element of the lens....LOL, crap, may be I just want to replace it with the Sigma 50 50mm Art lens so bad....LOL. Anyway, the parking lot got empty really fast, and guess what, at around 4:30, the rain slow down a little and we saw a lot of ground fog rolling from the left and drifting into our view, and for those who stayed here is our reward --
