The Southbound BNSF 5154 Detour manifest rolls down Andesite Siding in preparation for an overtake by the home road afternoon Z-Train. The rear of the train can be seen across the valley crossing the switch onto the siding.

The detour over UPRR rails is due to Union Pacific RR maintainance on Donner Pass, causing congestion on the BNSF route through the lower Feather River Canyon. Through agreements, preparations were made to handle the BNSF through the old SP Shasta Division. This location is on the Shasta-Trinity National Forest, June 23, 2013.
