Under the custom forward cab is a Jordan Spreader of an undetermined model style, note the large vertical air tank and the rear mounted posts with cable pulleys.

This photo shows the spreader at SP Brooklyn Yard in the early 1980's. Recent photos show the same or similar spreader on Display at Antique Powerland in Brooks, Oregon with WPR 4057 markings. There has been a photo posted showing SPMW 4057 at Bayshore yard near San Francisco in 1975, with much less rust.
