BN-Bieber_94.jpg

Bieber was the technical end of the GN/BN and WP railroads and crew change point. Depending on Corporate politics the power would be exchanged or maybe run through to the other railroad. The location had been a Forest products Mill of some sort, looks like a Kraft Paper Mill, also signs of dimensional lumber. There had been a UPRR re-load judging by the car reporting marks, probably a BN re-load at some time as well.

After the UPRR/SP merger the BNSF acquired the trackage all the way to Keddie, the Bieber depot was torn down and the location is a Maintainance of Way location. Written permission is required to reproduce any material contained in this website.
