Never thought about Texas as gator habitat but I supposed they've spread far and wide. You captured his ominous appearance and cold, black eye superbly. V

Nice detail and comp, Tom. I like the look of an expression on the alligator --- almost like s/he is trying to convince you into switching to a macro lens. "You do want better detail, right?" I prefer my reptiles to be a little smaller and on land, where I have a chance to outrun them.
