Common Pipistrelle - Pipistrellus pipistrellus, the UK's smallest & most common bat
this is one of approx 40 abandoned baby bats a friend of mine is caring for, in these shots his 9 year old daughter is feeding the bat with milk off a paint brush. With all the wet weather we've had food is scarce for the parent bats & if the mother cannot produce milk the young are abandoned. Hopefully they'll all be succesfully released back into the wild shortly.
