The terrible tragedy of the earthquake/tsunami in Asia has cast a saddness
over what is ordinarily the joy of bringing in the new year. The loss and suffering
is unfathonable. We can only hope that the nations and peoples of the world will
continue to act together quickly to do whatever can be done to ease the plight of those most effected.

We are a world community.

Cliff, a beautiful tribute. I agree; we are all one community. It's so sad and so enormous and impossible to imagine or believe. Surely goodness will arise from the terrible darkness. God be with us all.
