A few years ago, the local council promoted an otherwise dead end of town. Woolworths moved out and this became a Wetherspoons pub, and a closed supermarket was converted to what is now known as ‘The Big Apple’ which is an amusement centre complete with bowling alley. There is also a night club on the site.

The town decided to buy this old Air Force Hawker Hunter T.7 (XL623) as part of this project.
