July 4 2005:
I can see for miles and miles…

We’ve had some dramatic weather today – thunder, lightning and hail. So I took a drive to my favourite hilltop location to see what I could see through my lens.

I looked in awe at the different landmarks and wondered. I saw the London skyline 30 miles away, the ultra-posh St. George’s Hill as well as my own town.

Then there was the sky – how far could I see looking that way?

And weren’t The Who cool at Live 8 ?

What a sky! Super comp.
I love your candid too. Sorry you had to pay for it, not sure it counts. We'll consult with the judges and let you know.

Dramatic sky Ray, blue too. We've just had drizzly rain all day.

Dedicated Pink Floyd fan myself but have to agree The Who were great! Amazing sky - experienced the hailstones here as well.

love the way some clouds are not defined in their fluffiness.. they seem to be melting

Great when it's on the change like this. I'm surprised not to see any jet trails.
