The Sainsbury's Local in Borough Green illustrates two recent trends. One being the larger businesses such as Sainsbury's, Tesco, Morrisons, Waitrose etc. creating their own chains of convenience stores. Secondly, a change in lifestyle has seen a decline in people attending pubs. This store opened in May 2016, and was once a pub called the Henry Simmonds.
