Rather than post a photo of an historic building, I've chosen something more mundane. My shot here shows what was surely a Communist era building that has been given a makeover.

I'm pretty sure I stayed in a hotel that had been updated. On the outside it looked to be only 10 or 15 years old, but on the inside the foyer especially looked very dated and could well have been built in the 1980s.
