We knew the Caribbean Princess was due in so we had to devise a strategy to avoid all the passengers it will would disgorge on to the island - after all it has a capacity of 3,600 !

We managed that visiting quieter spots on Orkney's mainland, but as we were heading back to town I was able to catch this shot from the moving car as she was leaving Hatston on her round-Britain cruise. Perfect timing!
