This village was funded by a benefactor - Mr Whiteley of the Kensington department store fame.

It is situated about 15 miles outside London in tranquil surroundings with all homes in the Arts and Crafts style. Because most people are elderly, there are surprisingly few cars to be seen.

Residents have a small convenience store, so other than that they have a bus to the 'outside world' every 30 minutes.
