The Robin Hood, Knaphill

Knaphill, Woking

Didn't have much chance to get much of a picture, so just paused briefly outside this local pub. It used to be on a reasonably busy road, which has seen its traffic flow drastically reduced, so it's trade must have suffered, especially as pubs have become less popular as people have been buying cheap beer at the supermarket and drink it in front of a DVD or some other home entertainment.

The 'For Sale' sign has recently been taken down.

It is sad to hear of the demise of the British pub in its homeland. They are still popular here in Canada. V

I'm thinking he's Robin Hood. Wonder what's in his bag?? Riches to give to the poor? I like the image! A knapsack in Knaphill. :)
