After all these years, I still have mixed emotions about the Armed Forces. On one hand, the only reason we have all the freedoms we enjoy today is those people who have fought and died to earn them. Yet on the other hand, I think about all the suffering inflicted on the soldiers and civilians alike because of war. So your photograph is particularly thought provoking because we see two people who have both chosen a potentially fatal life path. VV
