Soon after my arrival in this rather mellow city, I came across these protestors. It turns out that a local consortium of local businesses have lost the contract to the do the catering at the 2010 Christmas Market, with the winning bidders being a collection of small businesses from Oxfordshire.

In today's world, contracts are won and lost, but for some strange reason these people chose to protest. Wouldn't their energies be better spent on look for contracts elsewhere? And remember, they will still be running their reastaurants and cafes in the town just as before!
