I went to the Desert Broom growing in my front yard to see if the butterflies have come yet.
They hadn't and I found this spider instead.

Nicely captured detail. In 2007, after a rainy spring, two females set up their webs in our backyard. If the tiny male finds them, they create an egg sack which they hide. The female does not survive the winter.
