A few years back the National Weather Bureau decided that our monsoon season should be tied down to
dates rather than number of days of 55% dew point. So our official monsoon season begins on June 15
and runs through September. Where I am, in southern Arizona, the monsoon often starts in June; but up north it is usually July before they start getting rain.
This morning our humidity was up; our dew point was up; and the clouds rolled in. It rained on my
way home from work! Yipee.
