Eremopedes species

At Home, Southeastern Arizona

Spotted this one on my back door.
The Eremopedes is a genus of 10 lanky species of Katydid which are found only in the southwest. Some of these
are widely spread here and others have very restricted ranges, like a single desert dune system.
The songs of males are usually a series of soft buzzy notes.

NIce captures, Carol. I especially like the lower one because it looks like some selective desaturation processing that makes the katydid really stand out. V.
