Was built in 1747-1769 as a base for George II's Army, in case the Highlanders should try to rise up .  Fort George over looks the Moray Firth and is still used by the by the Military today.

We only got to stay here one night but we really enjoyed it, they were great hosts and had a lot of good food.  It was very close to the beach and Lighthouse.

Karen and I walked along the beach towards the lighthouse and watched as the Jets flew over to do Touch and Go's at the RAF Base and really thought they were neat, we watched them for over an hour, the neatness wore off about 11pm when they were still flying
