Who would have thought one pun
could be so much fun?
It was an impressive ternout,
this assembly on the beach.
There were more of them today.
Well, one good tern deserves another.
Last night I terned to the bird book.
The Wilson Tern is often called
the Common Tern. Does that make
him your tern or my tern?
Everyone should have a tern.
The Least Tern is so called
because he is the smallest.
You shouldn't diss him--
he could be a tern for the better.
The Caspian Tern must have
flown all the way from Turkey,
or maybe Russia to get here.
He might be a terncoat.
The Royal Tern finds the
ordinary crooks and terns of
life annoying. He answers
the seagull's greedy cry with
Tern it down, you Hoodlum,
I'm trying to sleep.
