ROCK? Love . . . Truth . . . Beauty . . . Self-Sacrifice . . .
A mentor of mine shared these words often,
both verbally and in print; especially when times called for
a Corner Stone, he would remind us to find all the beauty we could
and to search for Truth and embrace it with the whole life.
Today I saw this rock on my desk; the sun was shining through the blinds,
casting shadows. "Lovely," I thought, and then picked up my camera.
I remember the late Dr. William L. Hendricks and his teachings
with a grateful heart.
(At this time in my life it feels appropriate that
one of the petals [shells] is broken on the paperweight.)
