The book was inspired by a story told of Michelangelo
when he was working on his sculpture of David.
A boy asked the sculptor why he hammered the marble so hard.
Michelangelo said, "because there is an angel inside and
I am releasing it."


This young girl was running around the yard and parking lot in
spirited play as she wore angel wings and twirled
a white umbrella. I snapped the pictures from the
living room window. She is a neighbor of my
elder friend, Elaine.
