This shot was made by setting up two chairs, on which sat the ironing board,
on top of which sat the tripod (quite precariously tied down and dangling
out). A number of shots were made using the tiny wireless remote contol
which can be used with the Canon Rebel camera.
Afterwards, the tripod, ironing board and chairs were removed (they otherwise
would have showed up in the lower part of the picture) and then standing on
the bed, a few more images were made just to sort of get the clean look
that's at the bottom of this picture.
And so this is really a combination of two images -- first the main shot,
and after removing the tripod, ironing board and chairs, a second shot
so the bottom of this final image would show an even patch of carpet
rather than too much dangling clutter.
And that chairs-ironing-board-tripod setup (with boxes and heavy books
to counter balance) actually ended up being the simplest solution to
the problem of how to suspend a camera 6 feet off the ground directly
over the bed.
