NOV 15

While visiting with photographers Jeff & Crystal Smith in Indiana,
Jeff and I one day drove through the town of Salem (IN). And in the
center of town, I was struck by this building (which I believe
is the local courthouse).

And while I'm not too often taken by buildings, this one seemed
quite interesting to me. And so, on another day, when I once
again had occasion to pass through Salem, this time I stopped
to photograph (the late afternoon light being better than when
I first saw the courthouse in midday light).

wonderful image, esp. that all the lines seem to be pointing towards the building.

I'd say the wait was worth it.. love the perspective on this.. with the tree branches-and courtyard leading you right to the building.
