Photo a Day, 12 April 2006...
Spent most of the day working on various projects - updating a clients website and doing a newsletter for a group... wasn't really looking for anything to photograph but this bird was quite vocal - she came right up to the deck and had a really shrill call. As soon as I got the camera and stepped out however she was off to the treetops.

Looks simular to the d- - - thing that hangs around here, peeking on the roof vents or the cooler duct, making a horrible racket.

I agree with Chrisse One of these was sitting on my neighbors metal chimney cover and was drilling away so loudly that I thought it was a jack-hammer at first.
