20Nov05 Chapman Falls - 7560

Devil's Hopyard State Park, CT

Photo a Day, Day 235..We decided to take a hike this afternoon as the weather was pretty decent. I've always wanted to check out this state park as I've seen shots of these falls several times before. I took several shots around this to create a panoramic of sorts however haven't had a chance to put them together as of yet... To answer Karen - yes used a tripod on this - the tripod has been getting a workout the past 3 days as I also used it for the long exposures on the shells and flowers which I took late in the evening both days...

ACR, touch of curves, Resize, Frame, Sharpen: PhotoshopCS2

Canon EOS 20D ,Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM

I love the deep earth browns and grays. Very nicely done. The exposure was perfect.

This is neat. You can see the water move - Dad
This is so clear and crisp and you can see the mist of the water. I like the effect between the rock underneath and the water running over the top, especially the lower right section of the fall - Mom

Wonderful capture!

My first thought that is a great exposure and then got to looking at all the different levels of the falls. Just great! Did you bring a 'pod or balance on a rock for 1/2s??
