26May05 WaterPowered SawMill

Ledyard, CT

Photo a Day, Day 58... Cloudy but at least it isn't raining... This is a Waterpowered Sawmill that is down the road.. I've never actually seen it in operation however they do still run it.. I had a hard time deciding which to put up. Below are some others taken. I really like the landscape one showing more of SawMill Park but the Mill is hard to see in it. The bird keep trying to figure out what I was doing. Not sure what type he is though.

I like your main image ... it is beautifully balanced, and the red of the logs picks up the red in the barn, and in the water! :)

So cool to have all these at your place!

You made the right choice in my opinion. I can see why you would have liked the one with the reflection etc., but this is a good tight view of a fascinating building.

The aged look of the mill looks like our old barn when I was a kid.
Nice big logs too, must be a site to see the mill in operation. I love this kind of old stuff, great photo!

They are all lovely. The bird may be a dove.
