Ocean Coast Along the Irish Loop

The Irish Loop is an area that encircles the southern shores of Newfoundland's Avalon Peninsula.
It's named after the Irish immigrants that first inhabited this part of Newfoundland, and for the geography which resembles their homeland.

~some history tidbits

1616 - William Vaughin established a small community of Gaelic speaking settlers in Renews.
1620 - The 'Mayflower' stopped in Renews for supplies on its way to America.
1700 - Total population of the Irish Loop exceeds 700.
