This Snowy Egret was perched on some rocks along a small stream into the lake. Snowy Egrets are distinguished by yellow feet and yellow skin at the base of the bill. The yellow turns orange during breeding season.

Later he moved over to a dock on the lake and allowed me to get very close.




Yesterday Coleen Perilloux Landry said that if my bird was a Coot he would have a foot that looked like a fern, so I went back today and asked him to show me his foot.
