This is the closest thing to the inside of the cable
cluster without a tower in the frame. It would not
take much photoshop work to eliminate the other cables . . .

Acutally I see your point from an abstract perspective - especially if the other cables were eliminated. However, I do like the 'sense of place' with the version including the tower. The Golden Gate Bridge is instantly recognizable by many people. That tower provides that recognition, while (I hope) giving the viewer a new take on the typical, beautiful but ubiquitous, view.
I find myself gettng a crink in my neck with these images. haha. Maybe I just remember what it was like being there. . .
