Traditions Night serves as the official kickoff for Hawk Week at the University of Kansas. This event is designed to welcome new students and introduce them to the rich traditions of KU, fostering a sense of community and school spirit.

As we were driving through the campus making our way to the football stadium it was so enjoyable watching all the freshmen students walk, actually being herded, by their dorm advisors to learn what it means to be a Jayhawk. I loved this moment as they were learning the “rock chalk jayhawk” chant.
