The physical therapist I was seeing for plantar fasciitis had the opposite mindset as yours. He pushed me hard, too hard, likely my own fault for not complaining or trying to rein him in but he was making other areas in my body worse so I did what was best for me and canceled the rest of my appointments. I never regretted stopping and never looked back.

Please stay and continue to participate in the challenge and don’t give any thought or worry about running a challenge. I admire your perspectives and entries and hope you stay without worry that we’ll pressure you to run a challenge. Paul

Physical Therapists are magicians of our physical selves...like oracles they speak and we should...sigh, but not always do...Listen. Good luck with the Ankle. Traveller

PS Don't feel bad you're not in the rotation...dem's the rules, youz been ruled by self selection...out...and you will miss all the lusty pleasure of running one of these damned things...lol

I respectfully decline the offer to run the next or future challenges.
I'm like a dog that sees a squirrel and forgets what he was doing.
Running things isn't good for me.

As for how do you find these little guys, know where the nest is before hand.
These owls have used this nesting spot for at least 5 years.
It's the same park that we go to during the deer rut.
At some point, someone found the nest and shared the location within our small group.

The trees are cotton woods. They are in a flood plain, and it floods about every other year.
Jim probably knows the place, Fort Snelling State Park. This nest is at the far end of Pike island.
The other common trees here are Ash trees. Ash trees make up about 60 percent of the trees
in the park, and they are all dying from the ash borer beetle.
Trees fall down daily. You pay attention when you hear a loud crack.

The nest is a bit of a walk to get to, 4 - 5 miles round trip. So it's not one that's checked daily,
and probably the only time I'll get out to it.

I had surgery on my ankle in December, and the healing is going very slowly.
My PT guy scolded me, and doesn't want me to go for more than a mile in a day.
And hey, I never break the rules. :D

Well I know one topic that I won't come up with - Little birds in big trees. :-)
Davev would win that one feathers down.

I’ll have the new gallery blank, 281, set up later today so it’s ready to go for you. Paul

Paul, I agree with both your assessments.
Per our last voting sheet (now abandoned) we start over in April with Jim, followed by Dave, Traveller, Alastair, and Paul. We pick a topic, launch the completed website, and post the thread. That is what Davev wanted to avoid.
And I want Davev to continue with us in Eligible until he is ready to expand out.

So, I'll take April unless Davev speaks up now.

It took me a while to see the owlets, they are well disguised. How the hell did you see them?

I think the cycle starts over with Jim unless Davev wants to join in. In the past Daves hesitated and I completely respect that. We have modified and adapted the challenge over the past few years that it’s different and simpler now and help is always on the table. I always have the challenge blank ready for the next person so all that’s needed is pick a topic and fill in the blanks. No pressure, I’d rather have Dave in the challenge and not choosing a topic rather than him not wanting to participate due to the pressure of it. Hope that makes sense. Paul

Jim, who's up next on the round robin? I presume you will see this discrete message....Traveller

An unusual capture to be sure...sometimes I can almost see the tree as being tortured. Crying out. Traveller
