I see, I assumed it was an indoor/outdoor thermometer with a battery powered remote outside sensor and you placed it outside in the snow for effect. Paul.

I'm not sure how much I'd trust that reading, Paul.
The thermometer was inside a few minutes before.

We'll see how motivated I am to go out and put it on
that table again when the temperature is single digits.

His thermometer says the dew point is 11 degrees. When I was training to be a AC and refrigeration tech I remember that due to latent heat of vaporization the air temperature can’t fall below the dew point due since a small amount of heat is generated in the process and that maintains the temperature. I’m being honest when I say my brain never fully understood that science and still don’t even today but I do remember it’s at the dew point is when fog and frost come join the party.

In this case if a Artic front was pushing in with lower dew points yet then it could have gotten even colder. I just said a whole lot of words and yet still didn’t make any sense.

How much colder? Why didn't you take another shot showing it?
