Dave - that is what I wear. Well worth the price. I just bought a new pair, and left the old ones in MN at my daughter's house. Slip in a Dr Scholl's support pad and they are great for a couple of years.

LL Bean’s Wicked Good Max Slippers look promising, if a bit pricey.

No horns or candy, just Mardi Gras style beads (as part of a group of about 200).

“Would you believe a Distinguished Clown?”. I’d certainly like to see photos of that! Did you have one of those “Harpo The Clown” horns and pass out candy to the bright eyed youngsters? Paul

Paul - I just use the cheap over the counter Dr Scholl's inserts - $15 on Amazon. Try them.

Jim might be on to something with the inserts in slippers. After his comment I put my Dr scholl’s orthotics in my slippers as a test and I’ll be darned it did make them more comfortable. I doubt I’ll buy another set just for the slippers since they’re 45 bucks a set out the door but wanted you to know that’s a great idea.

Dave is in the parade? The Grand Marshal? Paul

I have a pair of Kizik step-in shoes that I wear around the house when it isn't flip-flop weather (my Hoka sandals have good arch support). The only shoes I put inserts in are the Converse Chuck Taylors I wear in Detroit's thanksgiving parade.

I just started on a new pair of slippers. I always put a Dr Scholls insert in, and I wear them all the time, even outside at times.

Originally I thought I’ll do this photo just as a dumb fun gimmick but it’s true, my feet are always cold this time of year so I’ll leave it.

My wife recently bought me a pair of slippers which I do wear. They are a touch tight likely because I wear them with socks and they are not fully broke in yet. Like Dave mentioned they are pretty flat and no arch support but many doctors that treat for plantar fasciitis claim arch supports lead to PF. Maybe BS maybe not, I know I’m about 90% of the way through mine and started getting better once I put in the Dr Scholls 340 custom orthotic inserts. Paul

I love slippers. My only beef with them is their lack of support. I can only sleep with the loosest-fitting fleece socks. I have a pair from a long-ago flight on Northwest Airlines that I use about every other year.

I read an article on this phenomena recently...it seems logical and true that both our hands and feet are farthest from our core where most heat is generated and of course, farther from our heart and so the weakest circulation.

Personally, though I think of this as old man behavior, I now wear slippers...I even have three pair....screw anyone that thinks I should be ashamed of this, (that also includes screw me if I have a bad attitude towards slippers)

Recently, I bought a pack of small bootie kind of socks to wear to bed when my feet are freezing....I've only worn them a few times...but they are there if I need them.

I am in sympathy with you...I hope this advice helps a little. Best Wishes, Traveller

PS You can wear the booties in place of slippers around the house if you happen to have them on....good stuff.

I can identify. There's no cold like the cold of our heated bathroom floor when I've slept late on a weekday and the program turned the temperature down to 70F at 8:00AM. Oh yeah, there's summer when the air conditioning makes the bathroom floor downright icy.

For added affect, may I recommend blue paint for your toenails?
