Yup, the Typhur is a beast and more expensive than most air fryers. I like its ability to cook a large amount of food (which comes in handy when feeding more than two), ceramic coating (never any smell other than the food being cooked), other functions (though not a toaster oven), and easy cleaning (probably aided by that ceramic coating).

Hmmm. We probably are going to get one. I like the idea of using it outside. We should find a model that fits that bill. We also do not need an "all in one" with a toaster oven. Just an airfryer.

Actually it’s new, only a month or two. It was a gift from a family member and I suspect it’s a budget friendly model and the chemicals in the body are still off gassing even though it has at least 20 to 30 hours of use.

I looked up the model number of ours and compared it to yours. Ours retails for under $50 bucks. I think I’m starting to understand why it’s still off gassing. The good news is it’s only a 1000 watts which is acceptable on the 15 amp circuit it’s on. But if it was 1800 watts that would be a real problem. Paul

How long have you had your air fryer, Paul? Maybe it just needs a good cleaning. Our Typhur Dome is only about a year old and has a self-cleaning function that I haven't tried yet.

I like the addition of the flames to the image, it’s well done and looks pretty realistic. It will get my vote.

We also grill out often and similar to yourselves at least twice a week. I also keep the air fryer on the patio since it has less than a pleasant smell to it when it gets hot so we use it outside and it’s used 3 to 4 times a week.
