05 Jon Bon Jovi

Cleveland

First time for us visiting the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame some of you might have seen this display before.
I like Bon Jovi and almost missed this exhibit since it was on the top floor.

While it's entirely possible the boots were too big for my grandfather's feet, there was no way he would ever have worn them. He just wasn't a boots guy. He was the quintessential New York attorney and never left Manhattan for more than two weeks at a time (I was relieved he didn't live to see 9/11). I remember the orthotic insoles he had for his shoes. They weighed a ton, and he swore by them. I still think the boots were too small for my brother. Everything is too small for me now. My feet have grown a size or two in the last five years.

Maybe since gramps didn’t wear them they were a size or two too big for his feet. Paul

Seeing those reminded me of Michael Jackson's glove on display at the Motown Museum.

Someone from Texas gave my grandfather a pair of boots that he never wore but kept for 20+ years. My brother eventually got them, and I couldn't understand how he was able to wear them, because his feet were a size or two larger.

Paul, Take a look at https://www.paulbondboots.com/collections/mens-boots If you visit them, you go higher for custom designs.

Agreed Jim, you wouldn't catch me dead wearing these suckers. My feet hurt enough as it is. Paul

Nice looking boots. Here in the SW there are multiple kinds of beautiful boots. Just down the road is a custom boot maker - superb boots, and expensive.
I can't wear the regular boots like these - my little toes turn under and these would hurt like heck. And, being cheap, I don't want to pay for custom made boots.
