I am visiting a good friend just outside Park Rapids, MN. Their little community, 50 homes, is right on Fish Hook Lake . These lakes in northern MN are all lakes formed by glaciers and they all left tons of great topsoil -- many feet deep of black dirt. This is a great farming area - except when the winters drop to 20 below.
