Cheesecake for the Masses

Quail Creek, AZ

As requested - a Cheesecake.
We had 3 tables for bridge at our house last night, and the hosts supply the desert. In our case Costco came through with their usual great desert. Large, inexpensive, and quite good. Raspberry sauce by Mrs Jim.

BTW, this photo will disappear soon.

That is a bad idea T. Everyone has different needs when it comes to hearing loss so anyone who would receive them would need to contract with a hearing center to run a full hearing evaluation and then program the devices to the prescription needed. Going to Costco and getting a new set would likely be cheaper.

Mine at Costco were $1599.00, at the hearing center over 4 times that amount. Never heard anyone say they were hearing too good when wearing aids. Definitely not me.

Sell them to me...due to the war, I have had major hearing loss for many decades...I have tired Costco Hearing Aids...they were too good for me...I didn't want to hear as well as they allowed me to hear, (maybe the sensitivity was set too high?). I rejected them after a couple of hours of free wear...I felt like a spy hearing other people's conversations. Maybe give them to someone needy...or sell them to me, I'm not even sure I would want any, but I might be willing to give them another try for the heck of it, Best Wishes, Traveller

I am very sorry to learn she needs hearing aids, not sure you shared that previously. Although HA’s help I don’t wish that experience on anyone. Which aids does she currently have? The KIRKLAND KS10 by chance??? I know they had battery charging problems but a year and a half back

I currently have the Resound Linux Quattro 961 (top of the line when I got / N t h,em 5 years ago) but I’m switching to the Costco Phillips 9050 which is the same ??. 'kNot sure what I’d do with used HA’s anyway. Paul

Beautiful Cheesecake...great capture...but with raspberry sauce...my goodness, real tasty goodness....(you should not post such temptation to admittedly a weak human being!) Best Wishes, Traveller

Paul - my wife gets her hearing aids from Costco. I'd give them mixed reviews as of now. She has had them for 1 1/2 years, 3 yr warranty, but the batteries are appearing to fail. The customer service is excellent - they are sending them in for replacement, but gave her loaners in the mean time.
We will see.

Makes me want to take up playing bridge.

You’re right about Costco most of their products are very good and budget friendly. I went there went last week for a hearing aid test since a problem has developed with the ones I have now that I got from a regional hearing aid center and I’ve chosen not to return to them for new ones or repairs. Anyway I go back on Wednesday for the final fitting this Wednesday and I’m looking forward to getting the newer, more advanced and better aids. Paul

You should supersede this picture with one of the plate after the slice of pie was eaten. Forks down. Yum.
