The crust does actually make a difference...this is Triple Cherry Pie, and the crust alone makes this worth a buy...on other cherry pies the crust is often flaky, doughy, so it isn't just cherry pie filling, which I love, but this crust is pretty damned fine also...the added expense is worth the experience. Traveller, (ps, I've never had bad cheese cake, ever).

Are you making the cheesecake, Jim, or buying it? Of course it's also nice to receive as a gift. I love key lime pie. The two can be combined deliciously. I admit to being lazy and buying crust. The crust shown looks like a work of art to me.

I have a great recipe from a school principal from about 50 years ago that I try to make at least annually. He was adamant about calling it "cream cheese pie" rather than cheesecake and would probably be horrified that I have tried making it with low-fat cream cheese.

I do love cheesecake! Ive got some key lime pie in the freezer that likely will come out today and a homemade chocolate cake since I passed the 72 mark a few days back. Delayed celebration! Paul

I actually have an aversion to cherry pie. It's a pretty gross story.
