While our snow so far this winter has been two inches at-a-time, we receive dumps of a foot or more almost every year. Our annual average total is about 40 inches, around half of what I grew up experiencing.

When we speak of 2 inches of snow Alastair is probably secretly snickering and chuckling to himself. 😉 A foot probably gets their attention. Now that I think about it I’ve never been to Boulder, Denver many times on the way driving to the ski resorts in Summit County. Paul

We received about two inches yesterday afternoon and overnight. Our plow guy, as is his custom, came before we awoke and made a first pass. He returns a few hours later to tidy up and shovel our front walk. I did it myself after running a few errands with my wife because her brother was planning to stop by. Nice light, fluffy stuff. Our plow guy showed up with another guy just after I finished. He apologized for not doing the walk earlier and explained that he had cut the webbing between two fingers. Of course I told him "no problem". I really don't mind shoveling a some when there's not too much. With luck, the sun will come out and melt and dry what little remains.

We got another 2 inches overnight. I went out early to clear it off since I had a physical therapy session at 8:15 for my foot. Our driveway has a healthy incline which makes it difficult to get up if it’s icy and if we drive on fresh snow it compresses it and it becomes ice so I always clear it off first. Paul

A beautiful morning capture of snow and cold.
But I am perfectly happy now to enjoy it from a distance.
