09 Colors of the River Walk

San Antonio

This is the River Walk in San Antonio. We were told that it takes two months to string all the lights up (not just in the River Walk, but the whole of downtown) each year. We were there for a bowl game. The less said about the actual game, the better, but the rest of the trip was a lot of fun. And it was 75 and sunny.

I like the crowds...hummmm...on second thought, my family visiting from back East had a terrible time getting into the Getty, Griffith park Observatory, even the Santa Monica Pier...a multitude of voices & languages that was normal for me, not so much for them. (also crowed from everyone also there for the Rose Bowl, same I think for your football event).

But again, this is a very fine image...love the colors...if a bit intense. But very interesting. Traveller

Packed - with people and with color.

We were nervous every time we were walking near the edge. I don't think it's very deep, but I didn't want to get my camera wet!

Beautiful and nicely shot. Selfishly, I'd find that experience too crowded. Realistically, it's to be expected at that time of year. I wonder how often people fall into the water.

Those colors!

Myself & 8 million other viewers were watching that game and my thoughts were “ hmmm, this isn’t very Colorado like”. Then I read a Jason Whitlock article about the game. Oh, I see! Paul.
